Burnout is a state of long-term exhaustion and diminished interest caused by excessive and prolonged stress. The Burnout Clinical Subtype Questionnaire (BCSQ-12) has been found to be very useful in evaluating the underlying causes of burnout syndrome, which are vital to know when designing specific interventions and treatment strategies.
